If there’s anyone on this planet who could be Padma Lakshmi‘s twin then it would be her daughter, Krishna! The TV personality shared three photos to Instagram of her and her 9-year-old kid wearing matching outfits for Krishna’s school musical and if we didn’t know any better, we could almost say they were sisters!
“80s attitude👩🏽🎤⚡️So proud of #littlehands and her classmates for all of their hard work in her school musical!” Padma, 48, captioned the fun pics on Sunday, April 28. “#twinningandwinning #flatstanley BUT CAN WE PLS TAKE JUST ONE NICE PICTURE???”
In the super retro snap, Padma and her daughter both wore green shirts that hung off of their shoulders and the most fluffy black skirt that they could find in their closet. Their outfits were so gorgeous that it looked like they just came out of a time machine.
“Feeling that mother-daughter love! #80s ❤️✨,” one fan commented, and another wrote, “I feel the need to listen to some Madonna right about now …” A third added, “Looks awesome! Those outfits are perfect for the 80s 😁.”
Just like her mom, Krishna seems to have an amazing fashion sense too! When she gets older she might follow Padma’s lead and recycle a few of her own outfits when she hits the red carpet. Padma says she does this to teach young women that Hollywood is not everything that it seems.

Krishna and I have always had a special love for Paris. We gazed on this lovely view on so many of our happiest days. This day at dusk on the bridge was cold. Paris had just been bombed in the Bastille at Bataclan a week before. Easter was a muted one that year. I was telling her about the church and all she wanted to know was “Where was Esmeralda and the big guy?” Life is precious. #littlehands #notredame #vivelafrance
“I think we should stop sending the message to young women and girls that we all have these endless closets of couture we’re never allowed to wear more than once,” the Top Chef judge previously shared to Instagram in September 2018. “It seems wasteful not to enjoy these dresses. The hours that it takes, the artisans’ labor and the gorgeous fabrics all deserve to be worn again and treasured.”
Padma is an amazing influence on her daughter!
