Even though the fight between war veteran Noah Galloway, 33, and Dancing With the Stars pro Sharna Burgess, 29, lasted “all of five minutes,” reliving it right before performing on national television Monday night, April 20, was definitely a struggle.

Shortly before stepping on stage to dance the rumba, the duo watched the edited rehearsal footage from the week which highlighted their spat — and showed Noah asking Sharna to show him “a little bit of respect.”

“The argument was my fault, but that wasn’t portrayed in the package the way it was edited,” he told ‘FOX411.’ “So I couldn’t get it out of my head the entire dance. [Sharna] told me backstage, ‘It’s reality TV. That’s what it is,’ but I’m like, ‘I am not set up for reality TV.’”

Despite their shaky performance, the pair still ended up with a solid score of 29 out of 40, and now, looking back on this past week, the double amputee veteran has officially learned his lesson.

“It’s like, if we’re going to argue about something, let’s not do it in front of the camera,” he said.
