Actress Nicole Kidman, who went through the adoption process in the 1990s when she and then-husband Tom Cruise adopted son Connor Cruise and daughter Isabella Cruise, is now helping Bella with the same process, according to In Touch Weekly.

“Isabella has her heart set on giving a child a chance like she had,” a source told In Touch in the magazine’s new issue, on newsstands now. “Nicole has been pivotal in the process, pouring her energy into supporting Isabella and [her husband, Max Parker].”

Nicole — who once said “to stay in touch with [Isabella and Connor] is very important” — paid for Bella and Max to receive pre-adoption therapy and even sprung for a new five-bedroom house for the 25-year-old fashion designer and her IT consultant husband. Nicole, 50, also is due to go to London (where the couple lives) later this month to see them. “She will help them finalize papers and oversee everything, as well as give as much emotional support as she can,” the source told In Touch.

After Nicole adopted Connor and Isabella with ex-husband Tom, the Hollywood starlet welcomed two more children, daughers Sunday Rose, 9, and Faith Margaret, 7, with current husband Keith Urban. Though she’s happily a mom-of-four today, Nicole has admitted in the past that she wishes she’d had more children.

“I wish I’d had more children. I probably would’ve liked two or three more. My grandmother gave birth to my mother at 49. I still have the faintest hope that something may happen to me this year,” she said. We’re sure Nicole is just as excited about becoming a grandmother to Isabella’s future child!
