Nicole Kidman “Heartbroken” for Husband Keith Urban After His Father’s Death

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are staying strong in the wake of his father's death.

"Nicole is heartbroken for [Keith]," a source recently told Australia's Woman's Day magazine. "All she wants to do is hug him and hold him and tell him everything will be okay."

Keith, 48, revealed his dad, Robert Urban, had sadly passed away after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, Dec. 5. "I've been deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support that [Nicole] and I, and our family, have received since my Dad’s passing on Saturday night," the singer said.

"His long battle with cancer is now over and he is finally at peace. My dad's love of country music and America set me on my life's journey, and shaped so much of who I am today. Thank you to everyone who has kept us all in your thoughts and prayers," he added in his statement to People.

Nicole, also 48, suddenly lost her father, Dr. Anthony Kidman, at age 76 last year after he suffered a fall in Singapore while reportedly visiting Nicole's sister, Antonia, and her six children.

“They have truly been there for each other through thick and thin,” a friend of Keith’s previously told Closer of the couple. “They have one of the most harmonious relationships in show business.”
