Do you know what’s one way to make your life even better? Get a dog — and that’s exactly what Nicole Kidman did!

The 52-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday, July 10 to share some wonderful news with all her fans. “My first puppy,” the actress captioned a photo of her with her new pet. “Actually my first dog. Been waiting my whole life for this! 🐶”

People of course reacted with nothing but positive vibes — as one does with any dog-related post — as they rushed to the comments section to respond. “That’s really sweet. So glad you found each other, [have a] happy life together,” one person said. Another added, “They completely change the way you view the world! So excited for you and your family.”

The pup, who we do not know the name of yet, is the newest members to the Kidman family — the Oscar winner also has two girls, Sunday Rose, 11, and Faith Margaret, 8, with her husband, Keith Urban. Nicole shares two adopted kids, Isabella, 26, and Conner, 24, with ex, Tom Cruise, as well. The family is so close that the Moulin Rouge star even found herself on set with her two youngest daughters.

“Yes, and I’ve always said this, there’s something wonderful about bringing your children to work, and them seeing what you do, and them being a part of it, and being interested and curious and feeling like it’s theirs as well,” she once explained to Good Morning America of working with her little ones on the HBO drama Big Little Lies.

The A-lister is also doing all she can to assist Sunday and Faith on their new path. “[The girls are] serious about following in Nicole’s footsteps and she’ll do everything she can to get them to where they want to be,” an insider exclusively told Closer Weekly. “Nicole has been talking about enrolling them in acting classes but for now, she’s realized that she can teach them herself!”

It certainly sounds like all is going well in the Kidman/Urban household!
