Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban ‘Bond’ Over Their ‘Joint Workouts’: ‘The Key to Why Their Marriage Works’

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are stronger than ever as they eye up exciting new career moves together – and a source says they’re also in phenomenal shape physically thanks to grueling couples workouts that they commit to every single day of the week without fail.

“The main activity Nicole and Keith bond over are their joint workouts, and they don’t mess around with that stuff,” a family friend exclusively tells Closer. “It’s a daily practice for them as a couple when they’re in the same city together, and they quite happily do workouts that would intimidate people half their age. And it’s actually paying off, too!”

“Even though Keith had something of a rough year with his last album cycle, and isn’t really the golden boy of country music that he once was, he looks amazing and staying fit with Nicole by his side is still the cornerstone of his sobriety,” the source adds. “He’s picked up Nicole’s love for distance running and they both do a lot of weight training, stretching and yoga together as well. For Nicole, this hardcore, never-miss-a-day approach to fitness has allowed her to do things on camera that would make most of her peers blush.”

Nicole, 57, has stayed booked and busy in her career over the past year, and is currently in the middle of filming Margo’s Got Money Troubles, which will also star Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer and Nick Offerman. She also recently celebrated the release of the film Holland, appeared in Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 and is coming off the success of the series Lioness.

“She’s fearless about showing her body in her projects when it’s a script she believes in, like in her recent erotic thriller hit Babygirl,” the source says. “But the bottom line is that, especially as their kids have gotten older and spend more time with their friends than their parents, Nicole and Keith have stayed a strong couple by looking after each other physically and encouraging each other to take on new challenges. It really is the key to why their marriage works so well.”

On top of that, Nicole and Keith, 57, set a great example of being hard working and supportive parents for their two daughters, Sunday, 16, and Faith, 14. The Perfect Couple actress also shares kids Isabella and Connor with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

Just recently, Nicole and Keith watched Sunday make her runway debut in Miu Miu’s spring/summer 2025 fashion show.

“I’ve been wanting to do this for so long so when the offer came through it was really exciting,” Sunday told Vogue in an October 2024 TikTok video. “And now the day’s finally here.”

Nicole told E! News that she wanted to be “supportive” for her daughter as her modeling venture kicked off with the big fashion show.

“[I’m] just there for her. Just being a mom,” the Oscar winner said. “I’m trying to give her her own space, you know? [Not be] overbearing or dominant in any way.”
