A source told Radar Online, “Natalie and Angelina live in the same community and have secretly been pals for a while. They used to have dinner dates with their husbands and now that Angie is single, Natalie is one of the only people she feels like she can lean on.” And even though Natalie, 37, is a big-time actress with plenty of accolades to her name, she apparently still struggles to connect with her fellow actors. The same insider told the outlet, “Natalie has always had some social awkwardness and struggled to keep up her Hollywood friendships — until now. While Natalie can be icy at times and is highly academic, Angie is someone who can match her intellect. There’s a lot of mutual respect here.”
The Maleficent actress, 43, split from Brad, 55, back in September 2016, and their divorce has been a big headache ever since. The pair’s custody agreement for their six children — Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne — just wrapped up in December 2018, so we can only imagine how much of a help the Annihilation actress has been for Angelina.
Angelina isn’t the only one who has been reaching out to pals amid a rough patch, as Brad’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston also took a holiday getaway with some pals, including Jason Bateman, in order to deal with her recent divorce from Justin Theroux. An insider told Grazia that the Game Night actor and his wife Amanda Anka have been “fiercely loyal to Jen and won’t even be seen in the same room with one of her exes.”
Well I think the moral of this story is that friends are needed — especially when you’re going through quite the divorce.
