Nancy Grace is surprisingly leaving her HLN current affairs news show, Nancy Grace, after nearly 12 years with the network.

Closer Weekly can exclusively reveal the 56-year-old TV star will exit the program in October when her HLN contract expires. “I’ll be leaving my longtime TV home with a full heart and endless gratitude,” Nancy recently said in a statement.

“Nancy has been mulling the idea [of leaving] for a while,” a source close to the host exclusively told Closer, revealing Nancy is cutting back on her workload to spend more time with her family. “The time was right to [for her to] walk away.”

Following her exit from Nancy Grace, the mother-of-two — she has twins Lucy and John, both 8, with husband David Linch — will continue working on her new book and a Hallmark movie based on her novels.
