Congratulations are in order! Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor recently welcomed twins, she announced via Twitter on Thursday, Nov. 16.

"The @lbccvikings women’s team got to meet the latest edition of Treanor’s earlier this week… lots of babysitters!" she wrote on the social media platform. The volleyball star didn't share any further details on the babies' genders and names or when exactly she gave birth.

The 40-year-old and her pro baseball player husband, Matt Treanor — they married in 2004 — are already parents to a daughter Malia, 3. Even though the couple has yet to share info on babies number two and three, Misty has been documenting her pregnancy with her fans the past few months.

Earlier in November, she wrote, "Could this be the last day of Monitoring???? #ComeOnBabies." In mid-October, she shared funny pics of her using a chair massager. "How do I relax while 35 weeks pregnant? With my @HTFeelBetter iJoy Massage Anywhere. It has been a lifesaver. #Ahhhhh #ChairMassage," Misty captioned the photos. In early October, she shared a cute shadow photo of her growing baby bump with the caption, "Monitoring for the day done… 34 weeks. Can't bend to wear shoes but it is ok.#PregoProbs."

Back in 2008, Misty announced she and partner Kerri Walsh were retiring to focus on motherhood. "We both want to start a family," she said at the time, adding that she'd love for her kids to see her play one day. "We need to slow down and breathe a little bit, focus on our families."

Misty's young daughter Malia's middle name, Barbara, has a very special meaning to the athlete, so we're curious to know if the newborns' monikers will have the same. The little girl's middle name is after Misty's late mother, Barbara May. The nationally-ranked tennis player sadly died of cancer in 2002. We can't wait to see more photos of the twins!
