Mike Fisher Wishes Carrie Underwood a Happy Birthday With Hilarious Pic Featuring Her “Killer Hair”
Singer Carrie Underwood just rang in her 35th birthday, so of course, her husband Mike Fisher found the most hilarious way to wish her a happy birthday on social media. The NFL hockey player took to Instagram to share a sweet note in honor of his wife, but he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to post a comical throwback photo of Carrie featuring her “killer hair.”
“Happy Birthday to an incredible wife and an amazing mom with killer hair! 🙂 All kidding aside, you’re a blessing to [our son] Izzy and I everyday! Love you,” the 37-year-old wrote in his caption alongside the funny pic. Scroll down to see the pic!
This sweet birthday post comes weeks after news broke of the couple’s marriage struggles, but it seems like they’re working through it. A source previously revealed to In Touch that Carrie was pushing Mike to attend couples counseling, but he was resistant. “He doesn’t necessarily say no, but he just kicks that can down the road,” the source explained. “He admits he isn’t really comfortable with the idea.”
The two tied the knot back in July 2010 after a seven-month engagement. They welcomed three-year-old son Isaiah in February 2015, and he’s a major reason they’re trying to repair their marriage. “If Carrie and Mike continue to grow apart, they will have no choice but to divorce,” the source continued. “This will tear Carrie apart because of her faith and the vows she took. Obviously, it’s something neither of them wants, and the stakes are higher than they were a few years ago because of their son.” Luckily, it seems like they’ve been able to work through their differences on their own, and their marriage is healthy enough that Mike could share an adorable birthday post for Carrie. Hopefully, his post is a sign their marriage is on the mend!
