Michael Strahan Isn’t Happy Alex Rodriguez Joined ‘Good Morning America’ — “He Loves Being the Resident Jock!”

Alex Rodriguez recently confirmed he’s joining the cast of Good Morning America as a guest contributor — and current GMA anchor Michael Strahan is not happy about it.

According to Life & Style, Michael “loves being the resident jock” on the morning show and feels threatened by A-Rod. “Michael can’t believe Alex is joining GMA. He fears that Alex is being groomed to take over his job or someone else’s on the show, and he’s upset about that,” an insider recently told the magazine.

The 41-year-old former baseball star will additionally appear on ABC’s hard-hitting news shows World News Tonight and Nightline as an occasional contributor.

“[Michael] didn’t even learn about Alex being hired until shortly before it was publicly announced,” the source added. “Michael thought that after all of the drama he went through with Kelly Ripa when he left Live, there would be no more surprises. But then this happens!”

Michael, 45, previously joined GMA in 2016 after revealing his surprise departure from Live after nearly six years on the show. According to another recent Life & Style report, the TV star’s former co-host Kelly is now “having the last laugh” as Michael stirs up drama at Good Morning America.

“She knew it was only a matter of time before Michael caused problems elsewhere,” an insider told the magazine. “[He] is demanding more camera time, and it is really upsetting everyone on the set.”
