We take it Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones' marriage is on the up and up!
The pair, who announced they were taking a break last August to "evaluate and work on" their 13-year marriage, are set to make their first public appearance together since April 2013!
Michael and Catherine will be on hand to honor Meryl Streep at the 14th Annual Monte Cristo Award ceremony in New York City.
Though the couple have been seen out together and have continued to wear their wedding rings, the April 21st event will serve as their official red carpet reunion!
The Oscar-winning actor has always been optimistic about his marriage to Catherine, telling Jay Leno last year, "I've been away for a while but everything should hopefully be on the up and up."
In December, the duo were spotted having a leisurely lunch in New York, and over New Year's, Michael posted a picture to his Facebook account of the family — including kids Dylan, 13, and Carys, 10 — skiing in Canada.
Another telling sign of their impending reconciliation: their fun outing to Super Bowl XLVIII in February!
"Michael and Catherine looked really happy at the Super Bowl," an observer shared with Closer at the time. "She looked gorgeous, better than I have seen her in a long time."
The eyewitness added, "They looked like they were focused on their kids having a blast. I saw them lean in to whisper to one another a couple of times. They were all smiles. There was no sign of tension at all."
We're excited to see the reenergized couple back together again and can't wait to see what the ever-stylish Catherine will choose to wear!
