Who knew an ankle could cause so many problems!

Melissa McCarthy recently revealed co-star Susan Sarandon’s good looks caused issues on the set of their new film Tammy.

The 67-year-old, who plays Melissa’s alcoholic grandmother in the comedy, consistently looked too beautiful on camera, so much so that the crew put a lot of effort into making her look older and less attractive.

“Listen, the amount of work that went into taking the glow off of her…We’ve got fake ankles on her, I mean whose ankles are gorgeous?” Melissa joked during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! “We literally had to make prosthetic ankles.”

The 43-year-old — who’s married to the film’s director, Ben Falcone — even described how filming was halted a few times due to Susan’s “glow.”

“She wears this crazy wig and we put dumpy clothes on her and then every once in a while, this happened two times, when there was a lot of talking and looking around from Ben I was like, ‘Can we help? There seems to be a hold up?’ And they said, ‘Susan looks too good.’

“And I was like, ‘Oh, is it pretty lighting, do we both look too good?’…’No, just Susan.'” Melissa explained. “Susan seems to be glowing from within.”

Tammy, which opens in theaters July 2, isn’t the first time the comedienne and her husband have worked together. They also appeared together in Identity Thief, Bridesmaids and The Heat.
