Melissa McCarthy’s Daughters Always Come Before Her Life of Fame

We all know Melissa McCarthy is a great actress and comedian, but she takes her job as a mom a lot more seriously!

The 46-year-old has two daughters, Vivian, 10, and Georgette, 7, with her husband, Ben Falcone — and she always puts her family before fame, no matter how busy her career in showbiz gets.

“She’s home most nights and makes sure they have dinner, which she cooks, together,” an insider told Closer Weekly in an exclusive new interview. “She’s a very hands-on mom.”

Melissa and Ben — who’ve been married since 2005 — previously welcomed Vivian in May 2007 and Georgette in March 2010.

The Bridesmaids star — who has recently become a fan-favorite for her SNL impersonation of Sean Spicer — is also particular about what she lets her girls watch of hers. For starters, SNL is a no-go.

“She doesn’t want them to think it’s OK to be mean to people, to scream and shove them, which is what she does as Sean Spicer,” the insider explained.

It’s clear that Melissa’s career has taken off since her early days as Sookie on Gilmore Girls, but that doesn’t mean she’s forgotten her humble attitude, especially to be a great role model to her little girls.

“Melissa always remembers how broke she was for so long, and out of work,” the source told Closer. “She never thought she’d come this far and get this famous, so she handles it with grace and gratitude.”

The healthy marriage between Melissa and Ben also helps them to be great parents. In a previous interview with Closer Weekly, a source revealed the secret to the couple’s perfect romance. “[Melissa] says the most romantic thing is when their kids are asleep and they’re on the couch with their feet up, watching TV and drinking hot chocolate.” Too cute!
