Journalist Megyn Kelly should get an award for being the best mom ever! On Tuesday, April 23, she shared a photo to Twitter of her 8-year-old daughter, Yardley, and herself wearing some groovy disco clothes.

“Because when your daughter asks you to be her date for the school disco party, there is only one correct response,” Megyn captioned the fun pic. In the snap, the mother-daughter duo wore a pair of sparkly oversized sunglasses with the most ’70s-esque outfit that they could find in their closest. As Leo from That ’70s Show would say, they were looking really “Far Out.”

Along with Yardley, Megyn shares two more kids, Edward, 9, and Thatcher, 5, with her husband, Douglas Brunt. In a previous interview with People, the former Today cohost said her kids inspired her to leave FOX News and work at NBC.

“Two of my kids were in school during the exact hours that I was at home,” she said about her 13-year career at FOX. “They would get back at 3:30 p.m. just as I’d be leaving to do The Kelly File. I hadn’t tucked them into bed on a weeknight in three years.” Since Megyn couldn’t spend enough time with her kids, she decided that it was time to move on from FOX and start seeking other opportunities.

“I’m not a political animal and I never have been,” she revealed about covering politics. “The subject matter was not true to my soul.” After she became a full-time cohost on Today, things started to look up for the big time news anchor.

“I feel less stressed, and less distant from the things that matter to me — my husband and my children,” she explained about her new job. However, Megyn’s career at NBC was short-lived. After working at the network for only one year, she was fired after making some very questionable comments about blackface on-air. But even though she’s still seeking a job, Megyn still has one of the best roles ever — and that’s being a mom!
