Things aren’t looking good for Megyn Kelly these days! An insider revealed to Life & Style that as the Monday, Sept. 25 premiere date for her NBC show Megyn Kelly Today approaches, the often polarizing journalist is desperate to find A-list guests!

Megan, 46, “is having a hard time getting Hollywood A-listers to appear on her show,” says an insider. Though NBC has access to tons of stars, it’s Megyn’s people that aren’t having much luck with securing appearances. “There’s lots of sarcasm surrounding the whole situation,” the insider says. “The running joke is that even the interns working on the show would refuse to appear on air with Megyn.”

This isn’t the first time Megyn has been in trouble. Life & Style revealed back in July, ratings for her NBC show, Saturday Night with Megan Kelly, were totally plummeting.

“Megyn’s really worried,” the source said. “[She’s] been reaching out to former Fox News colleagues, including Sean Hannity, but Sean hasn’t returned her calls.” Still, Megyn says she has high hopes for the show. In an interview with TV Insider she talked about what the show would consist of. “We’re trying to highlight human connection in an increasingly disconnected world and create a place where — as I wrote in my book, Settle for More — we can settle for more joy in a vitriolic country,” she said. “I just feel like people are thirsty for it.”

She even gave insight as to who would be making appearances on the show. “I’d love to get the actors from [NBC drama] This Is Us,” she said. “I’m planning, though, for the show to be more about real people than celebrities. If someone’s got a real story that folks at home will connect with, then they’re a candidate.”
