Things are getting ugly at Today. It’s been rumored over the past year that Megyn Kelly hasn’t always gotten along with all of her co-hosts, and now, she’s reportedly feuding with the talk show’s newest face: Craig Melvin. 

According to Life & Style, Meg feels threatened by the weekday anchor. “The network and fans adore Craig,” an insider shared in the magazine’s newest issue, on newsstands now. “He’s definitely being groomed for bigger things at NBC. And Megyn is jealous.”

Craig allegedly first rubbed her the wrong way back in August when he asked her on the air her opinions on Miss America Cara Mund’s claims that she’d been bullied by the organization’s head, Gretchen Carlson, who was Megyn’s former colleague at Fox News. “She was left speechless,” the insider said, adding that things haven’t been great since then. “Megyn thought she had to watch her back before, but now she really does. Her guard is up.”

The source also suggested that Megyn fears he’ll end up replacing her. “Megyn worries she’s getting squeezed out at NBC. The buzz about her not-so-stellar ratings and how she doesn’t connect with a daytime audience was one thing, but now they’ve added Craig.” 

It’s also been rumored in the past that current Today anchor Savannah Guthrie would be replacing Megyn as well. “It’s a no-brainer for the network. Everyone loves Savannah — the audience, the staff,” a source previously told Life & Style. “Megyn sees the writing on the wall. Having Savannah substitute for Megyn was a test. And Megyn knows it.”  It’s additionally been suggested by In Touch that Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford want to take over Megyn’s hour on Today.

However, a source previously told Life & Style that it may be hard to actually get Meg off the show. “Megyn will only go one way — kicking and screaming. And she’ll no doubt have her lawyers get her one of the biggest payoffs in TV news history.” Yikes…
