Megyn Kelly Knows How to Make Date Night a Priority! (EXCLUSIVE)
Who does work-life balance better than Megyn Kelly? As she prepares to take over the third hour of NBC’s Today, this mother-of-three is making sure she keeps her husband, Douglas Brunt, a priority. The couple tied the knot in 2008 and are parents to two sons, Edward and Thatcher, and a daughter, Yardley — and Closer Weekly can exclusively reveal the happy couple just enjoyed a date night at the USTA Foundation Opening Night Gala at the US Open on Aug. 25, 2017.
“Megyn seemed very happy and was laughing and smiling,” a source exclusively revealed. The two have been candid in the past when it comes to their relationship and Douglas — who works as a novelist and entrepreneur — shared details of their awkward first date at the Met Gala back in 2016. “We started dating shortly after she acquired a stalker. Bad start, I know,” he said at the time via AOL. “So she had security with her 24/7. Our first date went great. It was the kind of night that was clearly going to end with a kiss. But I had to kiss her in front of the security guards. It was awkward. It was like our parents were watching.”
Megyn was previously married to Daniel Kendall from 2001until 2006. He spoke about their divorce back in 2015 in an interview with The Daily Mail and said, “It is just a matter that sometimes two personalities can clash. So we broke up, it was mutual. She wanted to work on things and wanted to keep it going but I realized it wasn’t going anywhere. She moved just down the street and it was very amicable — we still walked the dogs together.”
