Meghan Markle's Work Ethic Is About Wanting To Get Things Done

While there have been plenty of opinions about Meghan Markle, one thing seems to be sure: she is quite the hard worker.

“Meghan is very American and wants to get things done — that is her way,” Ingrid Seward, author of the royal biography My Husband and I, recently told People. “She hits the ground running and works hard. That is in her makeup. In fact, the new year is only a few weeks old and the Duchess of Sussex, 37, is already paying visits to some of her royal patronages. She visited Mayhew’s Animal Home & Humane Education Centre in London on Wednesday, Jan. 16, and on Thursday, Jan. 10, Meghan was at Smart Works, a charity that helps vulnerable and unemployed women regain the skills and confidence to get back to work.

Word of Meghan being completely about work makes sense, as late last year a report revealed that Prince Harry‘s wife is very hard on her royal staff. “Working for Harry and Meghan may sound glamorous, but the reality is that it involves working around the clock — and it’s extremely challenging,” an insider told In Touch. “Meghan is a perfectionist and gets stressed if things don’t go her way. Staff are dropping like flies due to their hectic and demanding schedules. There are even whispers that working for Meghan is like a scene from The Devil Wears Prada.”

And forget about telling Meghan to take it easy, as she has even “told aides she wants to work as close to her due date as possible” the next few months, according to a recent report from Vanity Fair. So it’s pretty clear that no one is going to tell Meghan to pump the brakes on her work ethic.

Don’t expect the mother-to-be to slow down as we’re sure to see Meghan visit more organizations and make more public appearances in the near future. Hey, you have to keep busy if you’re in the royal family.
