If you’re a royal, you might as well dress like a royal! Meghan Markle stunned fans everywhere throughout her 16-day tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga with Prince Harry last month — all thanks to her fancy wardrobe. In fact, her collection of 40 plus outfits reportedly cost close to $200,000.

According to Daily Mail, the Duchess of Sussex’s plethora of fashion items from the getaway came in at a hefty penny. Marie Claire did a deeper dive into the fashion items and figured out that she spent over $68,000 without including custom outfit designs and all the jewelry she wore for her public appearances. We mean, that unforgettable bird-adorned Oscar de la Renta dress had to cost enough on its own. She also donned a plethora of dresses, coats, and casual outfits for their myriad of public appearances while overseas.

During a recent interview, royal expert Katie Nicholl revealed Meghan, 37, has allegedly spent around $1 million on her wardrobe since she got engaged to Harry, 34, last November. But luckily for Meghan, she allegedly doesn’t have to worry about paying for all the fancy outfits she wears when stepping out with Harry.

“It does fall, now that she is married into the royal family, to [Prince Charles]… to cover the cost of her working royal wardrobe,” Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight. “Meghan is now an ambassador for the royal family. Look at the publicity she has brought in [during the] run up to the wedding. I’d argue that’s worth every penny.”
