Any day now, Meghan Markle will give birth to her first child with husband Prince Harry, so it’s no surprise that all eyes have been on the Duchess of Sussex during this entire process — especially from the media. The lack of privacy hasn’t been the only issue during the pregnancy, though. In fact, she has been quite open about some of the other challenges.

The former actress, 37, has had plenty of ups and downs while pregnant, as a luxurious NYC baby shower thrown in February being just one of the events that was heavily criticized. “Baby showers, it’s very much an American thing. We don’t do it here in the U.K.,” Queen Elizabeth’s former press spokesman, Dickie Arbiter, told to Us Weekly. “It was a bit over the top in terms of expense and the way she got there.”

“I would say that I would lift it for you, but neither of those us should be lifting right now,” the Suits alum joked to fellow pregnant mom Angel Midgley after handing her a gift basket and hamper full of baby clothes and toiletries.” You have to take it easy while carrying a baby!

You can’t exactly speed-walk when you’re pregnant, and everyone received more proof of that at the Endeavor Fund Awards this past February, as the royal couple walked quite slowly, which led the 34-year-old Duke of Sussex to explain, “There’s a heavy baby in there!”

“I’ll put my feet up because that’s a deserved treat, especially in this stage of pregnancy!” the duchess said while at King’s College London on International Women’s Day, referring to how good it feels to hop out of her high heels.

Looks are changin’. That’s was what pretty much was said to the Secretary of State for Wales at the Buckingham Palace reception in early March as Meghan joked, “I look different than when you saw me last!”

Parents-to-be have to think of a baby name — and the royals are no different. Meghan once told a young fan that she and Harry have “been given a long list of names from everyone, we’re going to sit down and have a look at them.”

While out and about in Australia this past October, Meghan had to ease up on her busy schedule. Harry confirmed she was “resting back at home” and that “being pregnant takes its toll.”

Before Christmas arrived, Meghan let folks know she was feeling “very pregnant” but “very good!” Quite the strong woman.

Is it a boy or a girl? Meghan was still keeping it hush after a fan suggested a guess about the royal baby’s gender. There are “strong opinions about that, but it’s a 50/50 split,” the pregnant royal said.
