No matter how much her life changes, Meghan Markle seems to always make time for her friends! The Duchess of Sussex’s breakfast skills were boasted about via Instagram on Sunday, January 20 after her friend and former makeup artist, Daniel Martin, shared a photo of their delicious meal while visiting London. “Back to our Tig days …,” he wrote in the caption, referring to Meg’s now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig. “Thank you, Meghan, for being the consummate hostess this weekend and still being the #avocadotoast whisperer, YUM!”

The photo that Daniel shared showed off the scrumptious treats that the 37-year-old royal whipped up for her friend. Their meal included tea, chocolate truffles and avocado toast that must have been really tasty considering Daniel sweetly called Meg an “avocado toast whisperer.” Take a look at the photo he shared below!

Daniel also seemingly referred to the pregnant Duchess in another clip he shared to his Instagram story. “Weekend in London with my M,” he wrote in the caption of the video showing the scene outside the window of a moving train.

The meal that Meg created made Daniel reminisce about her days running The Tig, which makes sense because the self-proclaimed foodie would often share recipes on her blog long before she became a royal. The soon-to-be mom has always seemed to love avocados, as she once wrote on the lifestyle blog, “I was born and raised in Los Angeles, a California girl who lives by the ethos that most things can be cured with either yoga, the beach or a few avocados.”

And even though she had to give up a lot when she became a royal after marrying Prince Harry last May, we’re happy to see that Meg hasn’t given up her love of cooking and baking. In fact, she’s embracing it! But besides cooking up treats for others — like the time she baked banana bread for a family during her and Harry’s first royal tour last fall — Meg has actually now found a better way to share her recipes.

The former Suits actress launched her charity cookbook, Together: Our Community Cookbook, in September 2018 and the book supports the Hubb Community Kitchen. Following the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy, a group of local women gathered together at Hubb to cook fresh food for their families and neighbors. In the cookbook, Meg shared a recipe for her “very favorite” avocado and green chile dip, which mentions that the appetizer is something she “make[s] at home.”

But besides giving her fans an all-access pass into her kitchen, the brunette beauty is also looking at the bigger picture. In a speech to guests at the launch event for the endeavor in September, Meg proudly said that the project had been a “tremendous labor of love.” So sweet!
