Meghan Markle’s Close Friends Gush She’s a ‘Selfless’ Person and a Great Listener Who Gives the Best Advice

They’ve got her back! In a candid new interview, Meghan Markle‘s closest friends opened up about what the Duchess of Sussex is really like outside the spotlight and revealed Meg, 37, is a “selfless” person who always gives the best advice!

While speaking to People, one of the royal’s former colleagues — who wished to remain anonymous to protect their relationship with Meghan — said, “If I’m thrown some kind of curveball, I always think, ‘I gotta talk to Meg.’ We talk daily. And the first thing out of her mouth is, ‘How are the kids? How are you?’ I’m not even allowed to ask about her until she finds out about me.”

They also revealed that Meg has stayed genuine and sincere to herself since becoming British royalty after marrying Prince Harry in May 2018. However, Meghan has still been the center of rampant rumors suggesting she’s feuding with her sister-in-law Kate Middleton and has faced attacks made by her father and other family Markle members.

“When you see her at walkabouts, when she crouches down to talk to the kids and genuinely has real conversations with people, that’s Meg,” her former costar said. “That’s how she crouches down with our kids at home. That’s how she plays with them. That’s how she engages with people and how she always has.”

The friends said that they chose now to open up about Meghan because they want to “stand up against the global bullying we are seeing and speak the truth about our friend.” That’s not the only reason for speaking out, though.

With the pregnant Duchess quickly getting closer to her due date this spring, her friends are worried “about what this is doing to her and the baby. It’s wrong to put anyone under this level of emotional trauma, let alone when they’re pregnant.”

The sudden outpouring of love for Meg doesn’t come as a total shock considering it was recently reported that the former Suits actress has been leaning on her friends for support while dealing with the criticism she’s faced. “Meghan just didn’t realize the scrutiny would feel as intense as it does, and over the last few weeks a reputation is building that she can be difficult,” a source told Closer UK. “While Harry‘s been a great support, she’s also been relying on her girlfriends — speaking and messaging with them daily and crediting them with helping her get through the past few months.” Aww!
