This isn't good. Meghan Markle has been the Duchess of Sussex for four months now, but this new life is allegedly taking a toll on her. According to Star magazine, the newly-minted royal has undergone a drastic weight loss — and has sadly withered down to 99 pounds. Not good...
A source told the magazine that she "used to love cooking and indulging in her favorite foods — like steak, french fries, and pasta washed down with a couple glasses of wine." They added, "She rarely treats herself these days."
Those close to her are reportedly thinking Meghan's tight schedule is negatively impacting her well-being. "Her friends were hoping she'd relax after she said, 'I do,'" the insider added. "But she's been so busy with royal duties and with wanting to impress the queen with her knowledge and dedication to the family."
Royal sources also recently told Life & Style that her health has been deteriorating as a result of her struggle with royal life. "Her rings are slipping from her hands and her hair is thinning," an insider revealed. "She loves Harry, but when it comes to life as a royal, she's lately been asking herself, 'How will I get through this?'"
"She's never felt so alone," the source added. "She's all smiles at events, but behind Kensington Palace doors, it's a completely different story. Meghan has been in tears."
That said, we can only hope that things turn around for the former Suits actress — and fast! "The palace may be trying to shape her into the perfect princess, but nobody wants her to lose sight of who she really is," the source added. We agree!
