She hasn’t even given birth to her little bundle of joy yet, but Meghan Markle is already embracing her new role as a mom. Following the end of her highly publicized and extravagant two-day baby shower in New York City, the pregnant Duchess of Sussex was spotted leaving her Big Apple hotel on Wednesday, February 20 donning a cute new accessory around her neck.

Believed to be a baby shower gift, the 37-year-old proudly wore the sweetest gold-plated “mummy” — the British slang term for “mom” — necklace by jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer that was barely visible under her black zip-up top. After seeing the pics, eagle-eyed royal fans were able to identify the sweet 18-carat yellow gold necklace that retails for $850 as one of Jennifer’s designs.

While exiting The Mark Hotel — where her baby shower took place in the lavish penthouse suite — the former Suits actress sported a comfy and casual look as she prepared to board a long flight back to London. In new photos, Meg can be seen sporting black Adidas sneakers, Lululemon leggings and an Ingrid and Isabel zip-up jacket. To stay warm in the snowy weather, the brunette beauty also wore a knee-length, camel-colored coat and carried a $395 Le Sud weekender tote from Cuyana.

Meg paired the casual look with that her adorable new “mummy” necklace and a black baseball cap that had the word “Rectify” written across the front. The hat is believed to be a gift from Meghan’s friend and former costar Abigail Spencer who starred in the American television series Rectify from 2013 to 2016.

Meghan’s baby shower festivities began when she touched down in New York City earlier this week and included guests like Serena WilliamsAmal Clooney, Toronto-based stylist Jessica Mulroney and many more. The shower allegedly cost around $200,000 and was reportedly paid for by tennis star Serena.

While Meg has been living a life of New York City glitz and the glamour the past few days, her hubby, Prince Harry, has been working hard overseas. As Meg and Baby Sussex were being showered with gifts and love, the Duke of Sussex, 34, stepped out in Plymouth, England to visit the 42 Commando Royal Marines at their base in Bickleigh on Wednesday, February 20.

Donning his camouflage military uniform, the prince learned about the Marines’ specialist teams and also saw a Joint Personnel Recovery demonstration. The red-haired royal was also given the honor of saluting recruits by presenting them with their Green Berets, which symbolically marked the end of their training.

Meghan’s quick trip to her native United States comes shortly before she and Harry are headed to North Africa for a three-day royal visit. During their stay in Morocco, the royal couple will be highlighting two of their key causes, girls’ education and youth empowerment. We can’t wait for them to be reunited!
