Perhaps it’s time to set-up a Twitter for her? It seems like Meghan Markle is trying to reach out to her fans and followers because she’s seeking to have a more direct voice with the public.

According to Us Weekly, the former actress, 37, is trying her best to change up the way the royal family interacts with its subjects. “Some of the things Meghan wants to do, specifically when it comes to communication, will break from tradition,” a source tells the outlet. “She wants to have a direct voice to have more impact.” If celebrities are allowed a platform on social media to speak, it’s only right that the Duchess of Sussex does too, right?

Meghan is currently doing her part to get involved in charities, so it is no surprise that Prince Harry‘s wife wants to use her current role to have a positive impact on an even wider audience, and having a way to reach out to the masses would be a quick way to do just that. While this would be breaking royal tradition, it wouldn’t be shocking as just earlier last month we learned that not everyone is about the changes that the Suits alum is trying to introduce into the royal family.

“Meghan has some crazy ideas this year that are already ruffling feathers,” a Kensington palace insider once told Heat magazine. “She wants to do a celebrity fundraiser and organize a charity dinner with her famous friends, including Serena Williams and the Clooneys, but she’s excluded some members of the royal family that she feels are too ‘stuffy” and old-fashioned in their views,” the source revealed. She may have not gotten that fancy dinner yet, but the duchess did recently get quite the baby shower in New York City — one that rang up a bill of $200,00 in just two days.
