A permanent move to the UK was on the cards for Suits actress Meghan Markle ever since her departure from the show and subsequent engagement to Prince Harry was announced. Meghan has now moved out of the Toronto house she called home while filming the fictional legal show and has taken up residence at Harry’s former bachelor pad — Nottingham Cottage in London.

It’s been two weeks since the couple announced their plans to wed and Meghan has now listed her former Canadian home on the market for nearly $1.1 million. Although we’d seen inside her beautifully styled home before thanks to the glimpses she shared on Instagram, the real estate photos show just how stunning the unassuming townhouse is. Watch the video below to take a look inside the home which was her sanctuary for seven years!

The all-white, modern interior offered a blank canvas and is befitting of Meghan’s classy style. The master bedroom is the sort of master bedroom you’d expect of a princess-in-waiting, with a large bay window looking out onto a quiet street offering plenty of natural light, and a subtle, muted colour scheme that can be easily tweaked with a few new cushions and a throw.

If her Instagram is anything to go by, Meghan loved playing host and this dining room would be just the space to do it, especially during those long Toronto winters. A bathroom doesn’t need to be big to be impressive — charcoal tapware and the right tiles can be just as effective. Further proof Meghan has great taste.

Like most of us, Meghan enjoys simple pleasures such as fresh flowers and scented candles, while kicking back on her comfy sofa with a glass of wine with her two rescue pups Guy and Bogart (one of which is now living with her in the UK, the other with friends). These are the sorts of touches she’ll no doubt bring to her new home in the UK.

Despite the muddy paws of her two pooches, the interiors were predominately white with splashes of vibrant colour and natural materials such as marble and timber thrown into the mix. It’s a classic-contemporary look that could potentially freshen up some of the dated decoration seen in old British mansions — Nottingham Cottage perhaps?!

The actress is a huge fan of peonies and Diptyque scented candles. Meghan also frequently switches up her styling by rotating coffee table books. Her ethnic woven rugs also add some earthy color.

The backyard had a Californian bungalow vibe, something Meghan — a Californian native — is said to have used as inspiration. The future princess is not afraid of a little glamour! Make room in the robe, Harry.
