Royal fans were lucky enough to see Meghan Markle twice yesterday, Monday, March 11, as she stepped out to celebrate England’s Commonwealth Day in London at two events beside her husband, Prince Harry. During the morning hours, pregnant Meghan, 37, looked gorgeous in a green dress and a matching coat by Erdem while visiting Canada House and later, the Duchess of Sussex looked glam in winter white while reuniting with her royal sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, for a Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.

Though Meghan’s regal outfits totally turned heads during both outings, one important accessory was noticeably missing from the mom-to-be’s ensembles — her stunning engagement ring from Harry!

After photos of Meghan on Monday hit the internet, eagle-eyed royal fans realized that she wasn’t wearing her three-stone diamond ring at either outing and instead just donned her Welsh gold wedding band on her left ring finger. But why?

While we don’t know the exact answer (and probably never will!), we can assume one of two things probably prompted Meg to step out sans her engagement ring this week. First, she’s around eight months pregnant, so perhaps her ring is getting a tad tight on her swollen fingers. Or the opposite is happening and her ring was feeling a little loose on Monday so she went without — no one would want to accidentally lose that blingy of a bauble while out in public!

Harry, 34, first presented Meghan with her engagement ring back in fall 2017 when he popped the question inside the couple’s Nottingham Cottage at London’s Kensington Palace. The custom designed rock features a center cushion cut diamond framed by two round diamonds from Princess Diana’s personal collection on a yellow gold band. The center stone is from Botswana, an African country that is special to the duke and duchess as they previously vacationed there while dating and have since visited again.

Though Meghan’s engagement ring is truly priceless because it includes two diamonds from Harry’s late mother, Diana, the bauble is expected to be worth at least $120,000 — nice work, Harry!
