Meghan Markle’s Estranged Half-Sister Samantha Markle Allegedly Dissed the Royal on Her Birthday

We’re sure this isn’t the type of well wish Meghan Markle was hoping for on her 37th birthday! The Duchess of Sussex’s estranged half-sister, Samantha Markle, took to Twitter on Aug. 4 to acknowledge Meg’s special day — but certainly not in a special way.

“Happy Birthday Meg! It would be so lovely and appropriate of you to send DAD a BELATED birthday card for his July 18th [cake emoji] @KensingtonRoyal Cheers!” she allegedly wrote on her private account, according to The Daily Mail. 

Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle — who’s birthday was on July 18 — has been very vocal in recent weeks about how his daughter has not spoken to him since he skipped the royal wedding on May 19. And clearly, Samantha is bitter about it as well. 

“I used to have a phone number and text number for her personal aides at the Palace, but after I said a few critical words about the Royal Family changing Meghan, they cut me off,” he claimed in a recent interview with The Mail on Sunday. 

“What riles me is Meghan’s sense of superiority. She’d be nothing without me. I made her the Duchess she is today. Everything that Meghan is, I made her. She became the woman that she is today thanks to everything I did for her,” Thomas added. “And did I get any recognition for it? Any thanks? She doesn’t even speak to me now. How cold is that?”

But despite the fact that they haven’t been in touch, Thomas remembered his little girl’s birthday was approaching when he spoke out last month. “It’s her birthday on Aug. 4 and I want to send her a card,” he confessed at the time. “But if I send a birthday card to Kensington Palace, or wherever she’s living now, it’ll just be one among thousands. She’ll probably never see it.” 

Another thing we’re hoping Meghan never sees is Samantha’s other mean tweet about her younger sister. She allegedly shared an Elle article that stated Meghan and Prince Harry are “are rumored to be taking a step away from the media spotlight.” But it was her response to the article that was cruel. “OK so Cruella Deville is retreating LOL. Let me know how that works out for you.'” We can’t imagine Meghan making amends with her after all of this…
