Meghan Markle Returns To Social Media To Share Cute Snapshot Of Prince Harry — See The Pic!
Just when we thought Meghan Markle wouldn’t ever be returning to social media, she proved us all wrong! The royal used Kensington Palace’s official Instagram account to share an adorable pic of her husband, Prince Harry, on Saturday, Oct. 27. And judging by the photo, it’s Meghan’s best pic yet!
In the Duchess of Sussex’s candid snapshot, Harry, 34, can be seen practicing his speech for the Invictus Games closing ceremony in Australia. She captured the beautiful moment by using a black-and-white filter over the photo. “Getting ready for tonight’s @InvictusGames2018 closing ceremony, where we will celebrate the #InvictusGames competitors, and their friends, and families,” the pic’s caption read before crediting Meghan for the pic. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will both speak at the ceremony this evening. #IG2018 📷 by The Duchess of Sussex.”
That’s right, the photogenic snap was really taken by Meghan and it’s the first picture that she’s posted to Instagram since she became a royal this past May. Meghan previously left Instagram and her lifestyle blog, The Tig, to focus more on her new duties as a royal. On The Tig‘s homepage, she left her fans a sweet final goodbye letter.
“After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it’s time to say goodbye to The Tig,” the message read. “What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun, and frivolity. You’ve made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy.”
Ditching social media was actually a great move for the pregnant Duchess. When she recently spoke with Sydney’s Bondi Beach local Jessica Oakes, Meghan reportedly said that she doesn’t miss being on apps like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
“She said: ‘Flattery and criticism run through the same filter,'” Oakes recalled. “She said it was very freeing that she no longer has social media.” Since Meghan is now using the Kensington Palace’s Instagram account, she might not post as much as she used to, but at least we get to see all of the beautiful pics from her first joint tour with Harry.
