New royal Meghan Markle will soon step out for her (highly anticipated!) first public engagement without Prince Harry, and she’ll make the appearance with a very important royal role model by her side: Queen Elizabeth.

Seeing as the Queen, 92, has already managed to attend a whopping 125 royal engagements in 2018 alone, Meghan has quite a bit of catching up to do! That said, if Prince Charles’ 70th birthday party is any testament to the 36-year-old’s social graces, we hardly think she’ll have any trouble blending in — with or without her Prince to keep her company.

The new Duchess of Sussex will join Her Majesty in officially opening the Mersey Gateway Bridge in Cheshire, opening the Storyhouse Theater in Chester, and attending a lunch at the Chester Town Hall on June 14, the royal family website states. It’s a fitting line-up for the former actress, who will undoubtedly impress with her extensive knowledge of the arts and Northwestern University education.

Meghan isn’t the only royal lady to snag the Queen’s solo attention, though. Kate Middleton has attended many events with the grandmother-of-eight, including a visit to Leicester just nine months after her nuptials to Prince William.

Here’s hoping Meghan and Her Majesty continue to get along famously — oh, and of course, we’re dying to finally see pictures of the two standing side-by-side. We can only imagine what a stunning fashion duo they’ll make. Let the countdown begin!
