The parents-to-be are out and about! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced they are expecting their first baby on Monday, Oct. 15, and on Tuesday, Oct. 16, the royal couple made their first public appearance together since announcing their pregnancy.

Meg, 37, and Harry, 34, stepped out to greet royals fans outside the Opera House in Sydney, Australia during the first stop of their two-week-long tour to Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand.

During their visit, Harry recognized Daphne Dunne, a 98-year-old war widow who the prince met in 2015 and again in 2017. He walked over to her and she said, “Congratulations, I think that’s marvelous,” of their big baby news, news.com.au reported. “It’s just what Harry needs.”

“It’s fantastic,” Meghan added. “I’m so happy to finally meet you. I’ve heard so much about you. All good things.” Daphne then added, “I think it’s wonderful, the two of you,” while presenting them with cards and flowers. “Enjoy the rest of the day,” Meghan responded. “Hopefully next time we see you, we’ll have a little one with us!”

The couple previously announced their bundle of joy on the way with a sweet statement via Kensington Palace. “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public,” the message read. Hopefully, they will bring their future son or daughter on their next royal tour!
