When Meghan Markle is at home with Prince Harry, she apparently likes to throw her chef hat on and make her beloved hubby a nice home cooked meal! Meghan’s closest friends candidly opened up about the Duchess of Sussex’s domestic habits in a new interview and admitted that she’s still the same person she was before marrying Harry.

“Meg cooks for herself and Harry every single day,” one of her close friends, who asked to remain anonymous, revealed to People. “We’ve all been to their cottage. It’s small and she’s made it cozy, but the perception of their lifestyle and the reality are two different things.”

Meghan, 37, and Harry’s Nottingham Cottage home at Kensington Palace features two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen and a small yard. And though it’s “small,” Meg has made her royal home as “cozy” as she could to ensure her guests feel comfortable visiting.

“We had a couple of days together recently. Her husband was out of town on work. In the room she made up for me, there was a candle lit by the bed, slippers and a robe. We were the only two in the house. It was our time,” another one of her friends said. “She made the most lovely meals. She made tea every day. It was raining and muddy outside, so the dogs got all dirty, and she’s wiping them off with towels. How much she loves her animals, how much she loves her friends, how much she loves feeding you, taking care of you — none of that has changed.”

This March, Meghan and Harry, 34, will be moving into their new residence at Windsor Castle, Frogmore Cottage, and, according to ITV, the couple is in a race against time to finish the home’s extensive renovations before their first baby arrives this spring. “At Frogmore, they’ll have more freedom,” a royal insider once said of their new abode. Queen Elizabeth has also reportedly been gifting the royal couple with art for their new home, too!
