When Meghan Markle was pregnant with her son, Archie, she showed off some of the most stylish maternity wear fans have ever seen. Whether she was attending a royal event or on an outing with husband Prince Harry, there’s no denying the former duchess effortlessly rocked her pregnancy looks.

Meghan and the Duke of Sussex announced they were expecting their first child in October 2018, just five months after they married in an over-the-top royal wedding in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in May. At the time, Buckingham Palace released a statement on behalf of the lovebirds.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public,” the statement read.

During her first pregnancy, fans got the opportunity to follow along on her journey as she made countless public appearances as a member of a royal family. Meghan gave one of the first glimpses of her growing baby bump when she stepped out with Harry during their royal tour of Australia in October 2018.

That was more than two years ago, however, and things have surely changed since then. In addition to fully stepping down from their senior roles in Queen Elizabeth‘s family, Meghan and Harry are also expecting their second child. The couple announced the exciting news on Valentine’s Day 2021.

Meghan and Harry shared the life update with a black and white photo that was captured through an iPad by their friend and photographer, Misan Harriman. The Suits alum looked up at her hubby while cradling her growing baby bump. “We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother,” a spokesperson for the duo confirmed to Us Weekly shortly after. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.”

Though Meghan won’t be gallivanting around the U.K. amid this pregnancy, she has made a few appearances since sharing the news of their baby-to-be. From the time they put down roots in Santa Barbara, California, after leaving the royal family in 2020, Meghan and Harry haven’t been totally out of the spotlight. In fact, they’ve tuned in for some virtual interviews and discussions.
