Get well soon, Guy. Meghan Markle‘s beloved dog was badly injured, The Mail on Sunday reported.

Sources told the news outlet that Meghan is “distraught” and “very upset” that her pup allegedly broke two legs. The exact cause of the injuries is unknown, but insiders say the beagle is receiving treatment at a facility in Surrey, England.

The injury reportedly took place shortly after Meghan and her fiancé, Prince Harry, announced their engagement in late November. During the couple’s first engagement interview, Meghan opened up about her pets, specifically Guy, whom she brought with her when she moved to London to be with Harry. “I have two dogs that I’ve had for quite a long time, both my rescue pups,” Megan said. “One is now staying with very close friends and my other little guy is — yes he’s in the UK. He’s been here for a while.”

Harry reportedly visited Guy with Meghan, which may have inspired him to get her another puppy for Christmas! Between Guy’s injury and her having to leave her other dog, Bogart, in Canada, it seemed like it was time for a new addition.

As previously reported Harry picked the perfect companion for his wife-to-be. “Harry has been waiting until his circumstances made it practical to have one,” royal biographer Penny Junor said. “He loves (dogs).”

Not only is Meghan a dog-lover, but dogs love her too! Specifically, Queen Elizabeth’s corgis adore the former actress. “The corgis took you straight away,” Harry teased in their first official interview. “I’ve spent the last 33 years being barked at; this one walks in, absolutely nothing.” Even Meghan admitted that she’s already formed a special bond with the Queen’s pups. “That’s true,” she added. “Just laying on my feet during tea, it was very sweet.” We see a lot of dogs in Meghan and Harry’s future!
