Sounds like he won’t be watching it again! Meghan Markle‘s father, Thomas Markle, isn’t exactly a fan of Lifetime’s new movie on his daughter and her husband Prince Harry, as he says it is more fiction than fact.

According to TMZ, the 74-year-old is is “incredibly disappointed” in how the network portrayed him in Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal, and he feels “personally attacked.” Thomas’ biggest criticism of the film is the situation surrounding why exactly he wasn’t at his daughter’s wedding. In the movie, there is a scene that shows the actress portraying the Duchess of Sussex speaking to her father on the phone and learning he can’t walk her down the aisle because of “heart palpitations.” “Meghan” goes on to tell her dad that she had to hear of this through the tabloids.

Thomas is now telling the outlet that he never bailed on the royal couple’s wedding like the film makes it seem, insisting that he couldn’t make it because he had a heart attack and was recovering from surgery. The father-of-three also calls the TV movie “dumb fiction.” Oh boy.

The Suits alum, 37, and her father have had quite the up and down relationship. In fact, Meghan’s sister, Samantha Markle, has been very open about having the pair form a bond once again. “This is not meant to be formal. The holidays are a time for family and are sentimental,” the 54-year-old wrote in a Christmas card she sent the former actress back in 2018.

“Dad has been trying to contact you and is very hurt because you are avoiding him. Life is short and you know Dad is wonderful. Please give him joy in his last years by showing you love him. The time is now. Please think about this,” she continued. The card was of course quickly retracted, with Samantha lashing out.

“I’ve never seen anyone so rude and hurtful and heartless and absent a soul in my life. Shame on you for what you have done to our father,” Samantha tweeted. “No PR machine can fix this. I retract the merry Christmas, you don’t deserve it. How dare you walk into a church.”

No word yet if Lifetime is working on a sequel to the film, but we are going to go ahead now and say Thomas nor Samantha will be quite happy about it.
