When it comes to style, Meghan Markle is pretty subtle… for the most part. The Duchess of Sussex likes to keep it light with makeup, opts for lots of blue in her wardrobe, and is always rockin’ blowouts. However, occasionally she likes to switch things up and we’re so here for it!

On Sunday, Nov. 11, Meghan was seen sporting a new ‘do thanks to a very subtle haircut. To not draw attention away from their work, the royal family likes to gradually make changes to their appearance but in this case, way we caught on! The mom-to-be opted for some long layers in her new full-blown chop and looks amazing, per usual. She debuted the look on Remembrance Sunday, which was a celebration of World War I veterans.

In the past, Meghan has shocked crowds with some amazing risks in her style or fashion choices. For instance, on royal tour she rocked a very bold dress — the infamous black and white bird-printed Oscar de la Renta number she wore to the Australian Geographic Society Awards. Also, when Meghan first started dating Prince Harry, she would wear dark nail polish and would not use stockings, something the Queen disapproves of. After marrying him and joining the royal family, she had to make some changes. But of course, the Duchess has been seen rocking red nail polish on her toes recently, which technically isn’t one of the colors allowed. We stan a royal who steps out of the norm!

It’s quite possible that the Duchess gets some of her beauty advice from another fellow Duchess —her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. It only makes sense to take tips from Kate since she has experience with royal etiquette and is a veteran in the royal family after being married to Prince William for almost eight years now. Kate is also known to make subtle gradual changes to her hair, especially during her pregnancies. Meghan isn’t due until Spring 2019 so if she’s following Kate’s advice, maybe we’ll see more changes here and there. We love a rebellious royal fashionista so of course, we can’t wait!
