On Saturday, May 19, all eyes will be on Meghan Markle as she makes her way down the aisle of St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle — and until then, you’ll find us speculating about every detail of her bridal reveal, from the choice of dress designer to her maid of honor to her manicure to her “something borrowed.” One thing that we can now tick off our list of wedding predictions, it seems, is Meghan’s choice of hairdresser, with new reports suggesting that the future princess has enlisted the services of Miguel Perez for the big day.

Perez, who has confirmed to the Mail on Sunday that he is engaged in discussions with Meghan over her wedding day hair, came with the gold standard of endorsements: the stylist, who is an alumnus of color expert Josh Wood’s Holland Park atelier, was recommended to Meghan by another immaculately coiffed humanitarian, Amal Clooney. And while we had literally zero idea that Meghan and Amal had ever met, let alone that they were on stylist-sharing terms, this is a high-powered friendship that actually makes quite a lot of sense on paper.

“Yes, I do Meghan’s hair. I do Amal’s, and Meghan is friends with her,” Perez explained to the outlet, adding “I also do George’s, I do the whole family. Amal put Meghan and me together when she moved here. I do her color, her cut and her styling.”

As for Meghan’s bridal style? Naturally, Perez can only confirmed that the pair “have talked about it and we have a plan. I can’t say any more but we know what we’re doing.”

Perez is currently based at John Viale’s Salon Sloane in London — just a 15-minute Range Rover ride from Kensington Palace — where a cut and blow-dry will set you back nearly $250 and event hair costing close to $210. Aside from the Clooney connection, the stylist can also boast another link to Meghan’s inner circle: he is also friends with Markus Anderson, the Soho House executive rumored to have played a part in engineering a blind date for Meghan and Prince Harry, and previously headed up the salon at The Ned, Soho House’s City of London outpost.

A styling session with Perez, the Mail reports, is rounded off with some choice words of advice for his celebrity clientele: “Walk outside. Try to avoid paps. This is your life now. With great hair comes great responsibility.” We’ll certainly try to apply the latter maxim to our daily lives, at least…
