What a pleasant surprise! Duchess Meghan (née Markle) and Prince Harry stepped for a royal outing in Cape Town, South Africa, during the third day of their royal tour. The couple’s first son, baby Archie Harrison, made his highly anticipated debut as he joined his parents in meeting Nobel Peace Prize winner and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Baby Archie, almost 5 months, looked more adorable than ever as he stepped out on the tour for the first time on Wednesday, September 25. The little bundle of joy smiled and giggled as he enjoyed his first outing at the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation alongside the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Royal admirers were over the moon when pictures and videos of the family of three began flooding the internet and social media. Since his birth in early May, the sweet youngster has only made a handful of appearances — including his outings at his dad’s polo game, his christening and a few other low-key ones.

We bet mom Meghan couldn’t have been happier having her little man by her side as they stepped out for their fun-filled day of activities. Even though [Meghan] has an amazing nanny, she hates leaving him at home for more than a couple of days,” a insider dished to Us Weekly. Aww!

But although the royal couple would love to bring Archie along on every outing, a separate source told the outlet that the new parents are taking the trip “very seriously … to make sure that Archie remains safe and happy throughout.” The insider even explained that “it’s likely that Archie will only be present on certain safer parts of the trip, such as South Africa, leaving Harry and Meghan to travel by themselves to engagements in other countries.”

It looks like we’ll have to stay tuned for whether or not Archie will make another surprise appearance. That said, at least for now we can cherish these cute photos of the little guy!
