And, who do we have here? Meghan Markle has added a new staffer to her entourage and he’s pretty easy on the eyes. You may notice him in the background of royal photos from now on, and it’s perfectly acceptable to crush a bit on the new team member. Christian Jones is the Duchess’ brand-new Deputy Communications Secretary and he loves plaid scarves and long walks on the beach (we hope).

Our new bearded PR prince has a big role in supporting Meghan, 37, as well as Prince Harry, 34, Prince William, 36, and Kate Middleton, 37. Basically, he’s in charge of all things press when it comes to the young royals and their charity work.

The former Suits actress has had a lot of turnover in her staff since she tied the knot in May so it’s not surprising to see unfamiliar faces in her squad. She lost her assistant Melissa Toubati after six months because the job reportedly became “too much” to handle. Rumors started swirling that the newly minted royal was “difficult” to work with.

A month after Melissa quit, their private secretary Samantha Cohen also left her position. However, it wasn’t the Duchess’ demeanor that drove her away. A source exclusively told Life & Style that it was agreed upon prior that Samantha would hold the position temporarily while the brunette beauty adjusted to royal life.

The mom-to-be definitely has her own style when it comes to managing a team. Princess Diana‘s former butler Paul Burrell spoke with Life & Style in January to clear up any negative rumblings about the former actress.

“Meghan is still settling into her new role as a member of the royal family and wife and soon-to-be mother. It is inevitable with all the pressures that those roles bring that life cannot always be perfect,” he began. “She also has to contend for the first time with a small household of her own. I know that it is not easy for an incomer to find their feet with those constant pressures.”

He even compared The Tig blogger to Harry’s mother. “I know from first-hand experience that Princess Diana was not always easy to live with either — and she also had a high turnover of staff,” he added.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds for the newest royal staffer!
