It has been two years since The Brady Bunch star Florence Henderson passed away, but her costar Maureen McCormick still recalls how supportive her TV mom was when she competed on Dancing With the Stars.

All of the now grown-kids from the iconic sitcom appeared on Watch What Happens Live on Thursday, December 12, and touched on many different topics, including how often Florence would visit Maureen, 63, while on the popular ABC show — even up until her death. “It truly was one of the greatest moments ever for me — I was so touched by her just being there all the time,” the actress recalled.

We just had some really special moments. I felt like she was such a great friend — so giving. Susan Olsen — who played Cindy Brady — then called the late TV star, “motherly,” and revealed that Florence didn’t miss one of Maureen’s DWTS performances.

“She was there for every performance,” Maureen said. Florence even had some sweet words for the star after one of her routines. “You were fabulous,” Florence told Maureen at the time. “I’m so proud.”

This isn’t the first time that the Here’s the Story author has gushed about her late costar. She once discussed what was the biggest life lesson Florence ever taught her.

“The biggest life lessons I have learned, came from Florence, and that was, being able to find joy like in a big way,” Maureen exclusively told Closer Weekly while at the HollyRod Foundation’s DesignCare Gala on July 27. “I mean, I spent a lot of time with her before she passed away. And I truly believe she taught me so much about finding joy and I feel such joy again in my life. You know, I’ve gone through so many different things in my life, but, yeah, pretty amazing.”

However, Maureen also revealed another lesson she’s been able to learn after all these years. “Be around positive, good people that lift you up, that don’t tear you down, but just want to nurture you and you want to nurture them and you all work together,” she explained. “You know, I think that’s really important.”

It is always great to see the Brady kids back together again! Fans can also see them when they appear on the HGTV/Food Network crossover special A Very Brady Renovation: Holiday Edition on December 16 at 10 p.m..
