Disgraced Today show co-host Matt Lauer‘s marriage is falling apart nearly one year after he was fired from NBC amid his sexual misconduct scandal. Sources revealed to In Touch that Matt’s wife Annette Roque is finally kicking him out of their marital home as they are still in the midst of divorce proceedings.

“Annette officially kicked Matt out of the house. They were both staying in separate wings of the Sag Harbor, [NY] home where they were living in with the kids. This was their arrangement ever since Matt had been fired from the Today show,” the insider revealed to In Touch. “But Annette finally gave Matt a deadline, and told him that he had to be out of the house by the day the kids start school. So he’s out.”

Even though Matt, 60, is no longer welcome in their family’s home, sources say he didn’t go very far. “He is staying in a property close to their main house in the Hamptons. He is only allowed in the main house when Annette isn’t there,” the insider continued. “He goes to pick up the kids from school and/or pick them up from school and take them home. But that’s it. He’s not allowed to step into the house when she is there. She’s made that very clear.”

It seems like Annette, 51, is allowing Matt to stay somewhat close to their Sag Harbor home so that he can still have a relationship with the couple’s kids — 17-year-old son Jack, 15-year-old daughter Romy, and 11-year-old son Thijs — but Annette is still keeping the kids with her full-time.

“The kids live with Annette,” the insider explained. “She’s the main caretaker. Matt loves them and is very involved in their lives. But they are living in the main house.”

As In Touch previously reported, NBC confirmed in November 2017 that Matt was fired from the company after a colleague made a complaint against him for his alleged “inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.”
