Mario Lopez on a ‘Saved by the Bell’ Reboot — “I’d Definitely Be Open to It in the Future!”

In an exclusive new interview, Mario Lopez revealed to Closer Weekly that he’d love to do a SBTB reboot in the future — if he could find the time!
“I have a lot on my plate, it would be tough, but I’d definitely be open to it if we I could figure something out,” the 42-year-old actor told Closer.
Mario on Saved by the Bell in 1990.
The father-of-two previously starred as A.C. Slater on Saved by the Bell from 1989 until 1993. He later reprised his iconic role on spinoff shows Saved by the Bell: The College Years, Saved by the Bell: The New Class and in TV movies Saved by the Bell: Hawaiian Style and Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas.

In addition to now working as an in-demand actor and host of Extra, Mario is also helping Box Tops for Education celebrate their 20th birthday by promoting their new “Don’t Be Absent from School” campaign. “They’ve raised $780 million [in 20 years] and they’ve had a huge impact on school funds and have helped out so many kids and teachers,” the star said of his work with the organization.
