You Won’t Look at ‘Taxi’ the Same Way After Marilu Henner’s Surprise Confession About Co-Star Tony Danza
Nearly 35 years after Taxi went off the air, Marilu Henner is getting candid about her relationship with co-star Tony Danza.
In an exclusive new interview with Closer Weekly, the 65-year-old actress opened up about working with the handsome actor — and revealed something in the video below that fans of the show never knew about the two off the air!
Marilu and Tony co-starred as Elaine O’Connor-Nardo and Tony Banta, respectively, on all 141 episodes of the hit sitcom from 1978 until 1983. After the series left TV, Marilu went on to appear in an episode of Tony’s next gig, Who’s the Boss?.

The show — which Marilu sadly doesn’t think would ever get a reboot because some of the cast has passed away and some are working on other shows — followed the lives of a bunch of NYC cab drivers who dreamed of doing bigger and better things. And if one thing is for sure, we miss seeing Tony and Marilu on screen together!
However, the two have moved on in their love lives. Marilu is now married to Michael Brown after tying the knot in 2006. When they first started dating, Michael was battling bladder cancer. So today, for Bladder Cancer Awareness Month, the actress has paired with Genentech, the maker of the immunotherapy Tecentriq for Bladder Cancer and the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) to help raise awareness about how people can navigate difficult-to-have discussions with their partner, loved ones, and doctor now that Michael is in remission.
