Marie Osmond Gushes Brother Donny Has Brought Her ‘So Much Joy’ in Sweet Birthday Post
So sweet! Right after Donny Osmond shared a pic of his family to Instagram in honor of his 62nd birthday, his sister, Marie Osmond, followed suit and wished him the best on his special day.
“#HappyBirthday to my big brother @DonnyOsmond!! You have brought so much joy to my life in our years working together,” she wrote on Monday, December 9. “May the New Year bring you all you wish. I love you tons! 🎂”
When Donny shared his birthday post a few hours before Marie, he thanked his fans for always having his back and being devout followers for many years.
“Thank you for all of the birthday wishes you’ve sent my way today. As I turn 29 (again 😏), I’m grateful for those of you who have been following my career since the beginning, as well as those of you who are just now discovered who I am,” he said.
“It’s been a wonderful birthday — one I’ll never forget,” the “Crazy Horses” singer continued. “My favorite birthday gift this year is a holiday season off from performing so that I can spend time with my dear wife and family. I haven’t had that opportunity since 2010. I almost forgot how nice it is to wrap up the year with my loved ones around me. It’s given me time to reflect on how important family and friends really are.”
Donny isn’t the only one in the family who cherishes his loved ones before anything else. Marie does too! In a previous interview with Closer Weekly, she explained why she and her brother are so close.
“We can finish each other’s sentences and we know what each other’s thinking, but we never see eye-to-eye. That’s our chemistry: It’s toxic,” she laughed. “We are very different people. He loves everything organized and structured, while I like to breathe within the structure of the show. I’m always throwing a curveball at him. He goes crazy and it makes me laugh so I keep doing it.”
