Growing up with eight brothers, Marie Osmond learned a thing or two about winning a few arguments. While paying a visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Marie opened up about her new gig on The Talk and revealed whether arguing is easier with her four new cohosts or her eight brothers.

“Well, men only listen to half of what you say,” the 59-year-old beauty hilariously replied to the host’s question during her appearance on Monday, September 16. “So I won every time there,” she joked of her siblings, Virl, Tom, Alan, Wayne, Merill, Jay, Jimmy and of course her brother and stage partner, Donny Osmond. Marie then dished arguing with her siblings is easier by default because The Talk women don’t even bicker!

“We don’t fight on The Talk actually. It’s actually pleasant!” the “Paper Roses” songstress said of costars Sharon Osbourne, Eve, Carrie Ann Inaba and Sheryl Underwood. “Make your lunch date around it,” she added. It wasn’t until Stephen replied that the audience really cracked up. “I didn’t hear half of that,” he joked with Marie. LOL!

The former Dancing With the Stars contestant, who joined the CBS talk show on Monday, September 9, also opened up about her first week. “Oh my gosh, it is so fun,” Marie gushed of her new full-time job. “It’s kind of like a new chapter in my book and I am very honored that CBS would pick me.”

The Donny & Marie star wasn’t afraid to admit, though, that she had nerves before her debut as cohost on hit talk show. “I’ve been working a few decades,” Marie said with a laugh before continuing, “and I started to get these butterflies.” Luckily, she was able to snap herself out of it.

“After about 10 minutes, I’m like, ‘Marie, stop it! You know, do what you do,'” she explained. “But to me, it’s a good thing. Because I think when you lost that, you should move onto something else. Don’t you?”

We love having Marie as one of the cohosts of The Talk!
