Shortly after CBS announced that Marie Osmond was officially joining The Talk for the upcoming season 10 in September, proud brother Donny Osmond took to Twitter to send a huge congratulations to Marie on landing her new gig.

“Thrilled for my sister @MarieOsmond as she takes on new role @TheTalkCBS,” the 61-year-old gushed of her latest accomplishment on Tuesday, May 7. “Working two shows at once will be a challenge, but if anyone can do it, it’s Marie. She makes a perfect cohost.”

The “I’ll Make A Man Out Of You” singer made sure his sister knew how proud he was, but Donny definitely didn’t miss out on a chance to playfully tease Marie. “Ladies of good luck getting a word in edgewise … I’ve been trying for years!” he hilariously added. Gotta love him!

Donny shared the sweet congratulations after CBS officially announced that Marie, 59, would be joining Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl UnderwoodCarrie Ann Inaba and Eve, replacing creator and cohost Sara Gilbert. Just days prior, it was rumored that Marie — who has guest cohosted more than 40 episodes of the show in the past — was being highly considered for the spot.

Her willingness to be authentic and share personal triumphs and struggles with honesty in the hopes of helping others always resonates. I’m excited to kick off season 10 with the multitalented, dynamic Marie at The Talk table.”

Following CBS’ exciting announcement, the beloved songstress took to social media to celebrate the good news with her biggest fans. “It’s official – I’ve been asked to join the ladies of @TheTalkCBS starting in September and I couldn’t be more excited!!!” she gushed. “[I] Can’t wait to spend my weekdays with you.”

The exciting news comes less than two months after the dynamic duo announced they were officially ending their 11-year Las Vegas residency run at the Flamingo Hotel and Resort.

“It’s been rumored that we’re bringing ‘Donny and Marie’ to an end here in Las Vegas,” Donny revealed to Good Morning America host Paula Faris in late March. “We’re here to say it’s official.” Marie and Donny, who have been taking the stage together for more than 40 years, said that its “very, very hard” to imagine their iconic run coming to an end.

Marie will be joining The Talk table in September and she will be juggling both gigs until her and Donny’s residency concludes at the end of this year. What a pro!
