Donny Osmond is begging his sister, Marie Osmond, to join him for a potential blockbuster farewell tour that could easily rake in millions for the duo — but the “Paper Roses” songbird won’t resurrect their longtime musical partnership because she has zero interest in reliving the past, a source says.

The popular performers recorded 13 albums together, released 12 singles, hosted the Donny & Marie variety show from January 1976 to May 1979 and enjoyed a long-running residency in Las Vegas.

But an insider says, “Marie is focused on new projects and isn’t willing to go backward. Fans who’ve been hoping for a final sibling spectacular are going to be majorly disappointed.”

According to sources, the proposal isn’t just about the cash because 66-year-old Donny is craving the chance to say a heartfelt goodbye to the loyal fans who’ve stood by their side throughout decades of stardom as a family band. But sources close to the duo claim Marie, 65, has had enough of the spotlight.

“Donny’s always been the show pony,” a confidant explains. “He thrives in the spotlight, while Marie’s perfectly content enjoying life away from the stage. She’s all about family and friends now. But for Donny? Performing is in his DNA — he NEEDS the crowd!”

A rep for Donny tells Closer “There is no farewell tour, not current, not planned,” and right now, “Donny has a longtime residency in Las Vegas.”
