There’s no doubt Marie Osmond is one of the most fashionable stars in Hollywood. Besides her trendy outfits and stunning makeup looks, the “Paper Roses” songstress has blown fans away with her effortlessly gorgeous hairstyles.
Ever since she and her siblings rose to fame in the 1970s, Marie has rocked her signature brunette locks. Whether she chopped them off and sported a pixie cut, or grew her hair out past her shoulders, fans can always count on the beauty having some of the trendiest hairstyles in Hollywood history.
Although Marie is known for her luscious and enviable brunette tresses, The Talk alum became a huge fan of wearing wigs. Despite the fact that sporting different hair colors has become a hobby for Marie, she actually told Closer Weekly the gag first began as an effort to deter paparazzi while out and about in public with her kids.
“My kids really like it and, initially, I did it just so we can have our private time,” she exclusively explained of her big brood of eight children in an interview from early October 2019. “Because I’m not going to be rude if someone comes up for an autograph, but I notice that they now don’t — well, now that I posted it, they know that I’m blonde — so I have a red-headed [wig] now, it’s really good.”
Shortly after Marie told Closer she was thinking of “wearing some of those wigs” while filming the hit CBS daytime show, the Dancing With the Stars alum debuted a super cute bob hairdo. Marie took fans by surprise when she showed off her short haircut during the December 3, 2019 episode of The Talk. Marie left the show before the start of the September 2020 season.
“We got a bob going on — a little textured, messy bob!” Marie’s hairstylist, Angela Christine, can be heard saying in a video shared to Marie’s Instagram at the time. “You know, I wanted to give her something different.”
Although fans love watching Marie experiment with fun hairstyles, they can’t seem to get enough of her iconic brunette hair. While chatting with Closer, the Key is Love author revealed the one reason she’d feel the need to dye her hair any color but her signature brown. “If my hair gets really, really gray and I can’t dye it black anymore, I’ll go blonde!” LOL!
