Marie Osmond Gives Fans Update on Hospitalized Friend Kim Goodwin After He Suffers a ‘Very Serious Health Event’
We’re thinking of you, Kim Goodwin! Marie Osmond just took to Instagram to give her fans an update on her hospitalized friend and longtime hairstylist and makeup artist after he recently suffered a “very serious health event.”
“I previously mentioned on my social media that my friend Kimmy — who has been my hair and makeup person for over 25 years and is one of my dearest friends (actually he’s family to me) — is experiencing a very serious health event,” Marie, 59, captioned a photo of herself visiting Kim in the hospital.

The music icon then explained that Kim’s first surgery involved putting stents into his heart to prepare for a quintuple bypass. “He’s seeing life from a different perspective. He told me last night, ‘I have great doctors, family and dear friends surrounding me, and all the sweet fans praying for me. I started to really think about my life and how I seriously want to make some major changes. The pain from some bad things that happened in my childhood have caused me to sabotage myself through low self-worth, anger and poor health choices,'” she wrote.
“He continued, ‘Because of my massive heart attack, the most positive things have happened. I’m finally beginning to feel my inner child’s pain and it’s causing me to have a change of heart!’ There is nothing better than learning life lessons from someone who is writing in their ‘book’ right now,” Marie added.

Just a few days earlier, Marie shared another photo on Instagram of herself visiting Kim in the hospital. “Kimmy wanted me to post this for all of you. He says, ‘Thank you for all of your prayers and well wishes! First surgery went well, waiting for quintuple bypass,'” she captioned the pic.
According to Marie’s social media, Kim was first hospitalized on January 21. “Please pray for my Kimmy who was admitted to ICU tonight,” the mom-of-eight captioned a selfie of herself posing with her friend a few weeks ago. We’re sure Marie will continue to update her loyal fans on Kim’s health as time moves on but, for now, we’re sending Kimmy all our love and prayers during this tough time.
